In late Spring fields of rapeseed cover the landscape in blankets of bright yellow. When I was a child in south-east England, I remember the vividness of the yellow flowers. Now I live in Sweden and on a sunny day when the rapeseed is in bloom, I think the yellow cadmium flowers against the cobalt blue sky look like exactly like the colours of the the Swedish flag.
