Damascus skyline is dominated by Mount Qasioun and if you go to the top of the mountain you get a wonderful view of the city. The best time to be at the top is when there is a call for prayer. This haunting sound starts from somewhere distant and comes towards you in a wave as more voices join in and the sound gets louder.
